They’re mostly hidden in tombs, but are never in plain sight. Instead, they’re tucked away in hidden chambers, which you can only access a certain way. In this guide, we’re going to show you all AC Odyssey ancient stele locations, so you can ugprade as many skills as possible.
In order to get the free ability point, you just need to approach the monolith and interact with it. You’ll get a message saying you got a skill point, and your completion counter for the area will increase. There’s also a legendary chest in each of these, which will reward you with some nice gear. The location itself is in the Megaris region, west of the city of Megara. It’s at the foot of the hill where the temple is. Once you’re inside, go right. When you enter the dark side-chamber, look at the wall across the room from the door. You’ll notice a bunch of boards blocking a hole. Destroy them and go through it. You’ll end up in the secret chamber. Follow the corridors, and you’ll reach the stele in no time.
Then there was the one in the Tomb of the First Pythia. The burial site is Phokis, in the hills west of the Sanctuary of Delphi. There’s a large marble statue of a woman near the entrance, so it’s hard to miss. Once you’re inside, head right at the brazier. Break the urns to uncover a hole you can crawl through. Once on the other side, follow the corridor. You’ll go through a room with a spike trap, and end up in another corridor. Follow it until you reach the stairs. One of the walls at the bottom of the stairs is cracked – the one with urns next to it. Break it, and you’ll uncover the secret chamber with the stele.
The next one we found was in the Mycenaean Tomb of Ajax. It’s a big, fancy grave site on the Isle of Salamis, in Attika (west of Athens). The tomb is in the middle of the island, east of the little port. Once you’re inside, go into the dark chamber next to the first one. If you light a torch, you’ll see a boarded up hole on one of the walls. Break the boards and go through the hole. You’ll soon see the stele through a door that’s blocked by rubble. Follow the corridor until you reach the room with the sacrophagus. Go past it and through the small hole in the wall on the other side of the room. Follow the corridor again, and you’ll end up in a room with a giant hole in the floor. Jump down and you’ll end up next to the stele.
There was also one in the Tomb of Eteokles. This burial site is also in Attika, in the Sacred Plain of Demeter, in the northwestern corner. It’s on the top of a hill, guarded by two large statues. Once inside, break the boards in the dark room and follow the corridors in the secret part of the tomb. After a while, you’ll end up in a room with wooden boards as dividers. Take the left path and move the shelf you’ll find at the end. Then go back to the entrance, and head into the tunnel on the right. Pull the shelf out of it, then push it to where the first one used to be. Go through the small hole, and you’ll soon end up in the same room as the stele.
Pheidon’s Tomb is in the Argolis area, in the town of Argos. You’ll find it in the east of the city, directly south of the grand palace. When you get in, break the boards in the dark room – this will open up a passage into the secret corridor. Follow it until you reach a chest, and watch out for the spike traps. When you see the chest, you might notice another boarded-up hole behind it. Break through and you’ll end up in the chamber where the ancient stele is.
Agamemnon’s Tomb is located in the north of Argolis, southwest of the Palace of Agamemnon. The entrance is in a valley, so it might be hard to spot. Go in, then do the classic break-boards-with-weapon thing in the room adjacent to the foyer. Follow the tunnels until you reach a room filled with spike traps, one part of which will be fenced off by a small palisade. If you look to the right of the entrance, you’ll see a shelf you can move around. Bring it next to the palisade, then use it to jump across. Follow the corridors again, until you’re in a room with a giant hole in the floor. Go around the hole and you’ll see the stele.
The Giant Heroes Burial Ground is located in the east of Naxos Island, which is to the south of Mykonos. The entrance is in the hills overlooking Marble Bay, in a grove of fruit trees. Go into the dark room, break the wooden panel blocking the hall, then follow the corridor behind it. Once you get to a large hole in the floor, jump inside and start diving. The underwater corridor will lead you to another hole, letting you emerge into another part of the tomb. When you move the wooden shelf, you’ll discover a secret room, which is where the stele will be.
Alkaios Tomb is located on the island of Paros, west of Naxos. The entrance is actually on the beach of the small island next to it, Atoll Point. When you go inside, head down the stairs. You’ll soon get to a door blocked by a shelf – drag the shelf away, and you’ll get access to the chamber where the stele is.
The Tomb of The Forgotten Hero is located on the eastern shore of Lakonia. It’s a bit south from the Zarax Point peninsula. Once you go inside, break the wooden panels and go into the secret corridor. Go right in the first room, break the pots and squeeze through the small hole. Follow the corridor, then turn right and go through another small hole on the left. You’ll end up in the room with the stele.
The Tomb of Polybotes is on the island of Kos, in the far east of the map. You’ll find it in Pharmakeia Bay, in the northeast of the island. Break the wall to enter the tomb, then go down the stairs. As soon as you enter the next room, you’ll see the stele in the distance.
Artemision Tomb can be found on the island of Euboea, south of Makedonia. You’ll find it in the Artemision Point region, in the northwest. The entrance is a little to the east from the northernmost point of the island. You’ll need to descend the cliff in order to find it. Once you’re in, break the wooden barrier in the dark room and follow the corridor. Use the big hole in the floor to go down, then head forward through the door. When you reach the flooded area, dive down and head right at the intersection. Keep following the tunnels and after you move the shelf, you’ll end up in the throne room. Go around the throne and into the next chamber, and you’ll find the stele.
You’ll find the Parmenon Tomb on the island of Thasos, a tiny island in the north of the map, east of Makedonia. The tomb’s entrance is in the side of a cliff on the border between the two parts of the island. Once you’re in, break through the blockade and follow the corridor. You’ll only have to go through one little hole before you reach the stele.
The Abandoned Tomb is located on the isle of Lemnos, southeast of Thasos. The entrance to the tomb is in the southeast of the island, in the hills south of Sky Fall Lakes. Once inside, break the boards in the dark room like you usually do, then follow the corridor. When you get to the crossroads, keep going forward, down the stairs. Turn right after you descend, and pull the shelf towards you. Then go back up the stairs and turn left immediately. Jump down the hole and go through the door across the room from the ladder. Slide through the hole and follow the tunnels until you reach the stele.
The Stony Sepulchre is on the island of Chios, in the northeast of the map. You’ll find the entrance in the hills on the western side of the island, in Affluence Bay. Go through the door and the corridor will lead you to the stele.
You’ll find the house in the province of Elis, south of Kephallonia. It’s in the east of the area, north of the Valley of Olympia. When you find the mansion, go to the side where the cliff is, and you’ll find a cave mouth. Go inside and break the wooden barrier, then follow the corridor to the stele.
The Tomb of The First Champion is located in the Elis area, which is south of the starting island. It’s in the north part of the map, in the Erymanthos Foothills. The entrance is in a bandit camp, although you don’t have to fight in order to enter – just run or sneak your way past the enemies. When you break the wooden barrier and go down the stairs, use the shelf to get up through the hole in the ceiling. After you slide through the small hole it will seem like you’re at a dead end – break the wall on the right and soldier on. After you crawl through the second small hole, keep your eyes on the wall on the right – a section of it is breakable, and it’s after the pile of rubble. The new passage will lead you to the stele.
You’ll find the Tomb of Eurypylos in the Achaia region, south of Kephallonia. It’s in the west of the region, on the top of Mount Panachaikos. Once you enter, simply keep following the only available route. You’ll have to break some wooden barriers and some pots – near the end of the path, you’ll also have to move shelves – but it’s pretty straightforward.
