Julianne Houghs Novel 'Everything We Never Knew' Pre-Order Now!

While many of us may be getting tired of reading celebrity memoirs, Dancing With the Stars co-host Julianne Hough changed it up and is releasing her first-ever novel!

The dancer first announced her book, titled Everything We Never Knew, in a video on Instagram. “I wrote a book!” she said. “And it is coming out, finally! As for what the novel, which is co-written with author Ellen Goodlett, is about, Hough kept the details to a minimum. “I wanted to write a book that was truly about the universal themes of life,” she said, noting that she wrote it during “a very, very challenging but also expansive time in my life.” As a reminder, Hough split with her husband of three years, Brooks Laich, in 2020.

“I hope that when people read this book, they see themselves on the page while also going into this supernatural, fictionalized story where it can feel a little bit like an escape,” she said, adding that the book also has a series of “Easter eggs” that longtime fans of hers might piece together. “Everything is fiction with lots of personal details,” she added.

“This was also happening around my Saturn’s Return,” she detailed. “It was right around that time when everything I knew started shifting and the conditions in self-belief and systems that I had put in place sort of came crumbling down.”
